2012 Charity

This year’s sponsored charity is the Seashell Trust, a very important, but not widely known organisation. Whilst not local to Macclesfield, we at Macclesfield Round Table have decided to support the charity since it provides valuable services in the local area including Macclesfield.

Please do visit the website of Seashell Trust to learn more about the organisation.

Seashell Trust

Seashell Trust is a charity based in Cheadle Hulme, for children, young people and adults with sensory impairment, profound and multiple learning difficulties, and profound communication difficulties. It is the oldest deaf children’s charity in the north west of England and it operates a school, college and children and adult care and residential homes including a supported tenancy.

The Seashell Trust now has a new strategic vision for 2020 which will lead the charity to become a “World Class” provision in the field of low-incidence services and provision. The Charity’s vision is: “… for the children, young people and adults in our care to be safe, happy and achieve the best life outcomes so that they are valued and valuable members of their communities.”

There are lots and lots of ways to get involved with the Seashell Trust. Whether you as an individual, as part of a group or through your company can support us please do get in touch today.

Fundraising is vital for the Seashell Trust to ensure we continue to provide the very best life chances, experiences and facilities for the children, young people and adults in our care. The students fees are funded by the local authority but this does not cover the extra funds needed to buy new and replace old items; for specialist equipment, day trips and activities, holidays and to establish projects.

We rely on the kind and generous support of the local community, companies, schools, organisations, clubs, groups, charitable trusts, individuals, and family and friends of the charity to help us to continue to develop our first rate services.

We have a full range of events, volunteering opportunities, projects, campaigns, information for companies, different ways you can donate and testimonials from our loyal supporters; we really hope you will find something that interests you, as every bit of support you can give makes a real difference to the lives of the children, young people, and adults here at Seashell Trust.

Please take a look at all of the different ways you can get involved. We will support you every step of the way.
